About Us

The Surrey and Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships are two Local Criminal Justice Boards based on police force areas across England and Wales.

Our aim is for local and national criminal justice agencies to work together across Surrey & Sussex to create a system where we work together to achieve common aims and objectives. We are committed to improving public confidence in the Criminal Justice System for all communities.

The Surrey and Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships both include:

The Sussex Criminal Justice Board includes:

  • Sussex Police
  • Local Authorities (East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove)
  • Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner
  • Sussex Youth Offending Service (East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove)
  • Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • Defence Solicitors

The Surrey Criminal Justice Partnership includes:

  • Surrey Police
  • Surrey County Council
  • Surrey Police & Crime Commissioner
  • Surrey Youth Support Service

The Surrey & Sussex Criminal Justice Partnerships (SSCJP) Business Support Team comprises of two people: 

Bruce Tippen  -  SSCJP Business Manager 
Lindsey Parris -  SSCJP Support Assistant

The combined annual costs of the SSCJP Business Support Team are £80,000
